Late-Race Incident Relegates Odom to 7th
Race Report - August 28, 2009

PENSACOLA, FL -- Brandon Odom has been a force to be reckoned with on the high banks of Five Flags (FL) Speedway this year in the Tom Thumb Pro Late Model Series. Unfortunately, he has been plagued with several finishes that do not reflect such.

August 28 was one of those times when the hard work of Brandon and the Brandon Odom Racing team did not pay off in the end.

Odom qualified and started on the outside pole position, and rode there for much of the 40 lap event. Two laps remained when he initiated an attempt to overtake the race leader, while working lapped traffic.

Contact between the two sent the leader spinning, and speedway officials sent Odom to the rear for the restart.

A 7th place finish was the final result for Odom and the BOR team, who will head back to FFS on September 11 for another shot at the Tom Thumb Series victory lane. They will then head for South Alabama Speedway for the final point-paying event of the 2009 Viper Series, in which Brandon sits second in the standings.
